Health and Safety Management

For us health and safety is an integral part of what we do, it is not an add on and for these reasons the company places the highest priority on ensuring current control systems are being fully operated as intended and, where relevant, these control measures exceed current best practice.

We fully understand the environment we operate in and health and safety has been, is and always will be a priority for Network Connections. The Company operates in accordance with a documented and independently certificated Integrated Management System which is compliant with the requirements OHSAS 18001.

In order to maintain high standards of occupational health and safety provision the Company shall:

  • Ensure that issues pertaining to occupational health and safety are a primary consideration throughout all Company activities.
  • Promote a positive safety culture throughout the Company.
  • Provide safe work environments and safe systems of work.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and other applicable requirements pertaining to the Company’s activities.
  • Set objectives and targets which drive the attainment of continual improvement with respect to occupational health and safety.
  • Allocate resources as required to deliver the commitments as stated within this Policy.
  • Provide appropriate information, instruction and training to all members of the workforce to ensure that they are suitably competent to undertake their allocated duties.
  • Consult with employees and their representatives to ascertain their perceptions of occupational health and safety performance.
  • Undertake programmed occupational health surveillance activities.
  • Work closely with clients and other interested parties to ensure that their occupational health and safety requirements are incorporated within the Company’s activities.
  • Communicate this Policy to all members of the workforce and make it freely available to customers, the general public and other interested parties.
  • Review the suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the Integrated Management System, including this Policy, at least on an annual basis.

Overall responsibility for compliance with these commitments is vested in the Managing Director.
